The 14" PST5 Sound Edge hi-hat is the latest addition to Paiste's refreshed PST5 Series cymbals. The hi-hat includes a heavy bottom cymbal and a medium top cymbal and offers the kind of dry stick definition and brightness needed for various styles of music. Presented during the 2014 Musikmesse, this fresh bit of kit features a special Sound Edge and produces a sharp pedal 'chick'.
Sound Edge
To prevent airlocks, Paiste have added a special ribbed pattern to the lower cymbal. Thanks to this so-called Sound Edge, which is a technique that was first introduced back in 1967, air is able to escape from in between both cymbals at all times.

Deze high-hat (niet te verwarren met de pst 5 essential) heeft een geweldige klank, de wafel structuur onderaan maakt het geluid precies voller en aangenamer, zeer tevreden van deze aankoop.
Ook de levering van Bax was snel, geweldig.
